The Kamakhya Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya. It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. Situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam, India, it is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas: Kali, Tara, Sodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamala. Among these, Tripurasundari, Matangi and Kamala reside inside the main temple whereas the other seven reside in individual temples. It is an important pilgrimage destination for general Hindu and especially for Tantric worshipers

Tirupati Balaji temple is located at Lokhra in Guwahati city. It is just 10 kilometers away from main city centre. This recently built temple is an example of modern architecture. The temple was made in a south Indian actictectural style and is similar to Tirupati Balaji temple of South India. The temple is dedicated to lord Balaji. The idols of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Durga can also be seen here.The temple complex covers an area of two acres of land. The main temple is of Lord Balaji where there is an idol of Balaji carved out of a single stone weighing 4 tonnes.

Umananda Devaloi is a Shiva temple located at the Peacock Island in the middle of river Brahmaputra just opposite the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup or the Kachari Ghat in Guwahati. It was built by the Ahom King Gadadhar Singha (1681–1696), who was a devout Shaivaite.
It is known as smallest inhabited riverine island in the world. Country boats that are available on the bank of Brahmaputra take the visitors to the island. The mountain on which the temple has been built is known as Bhasmacala.
